A Synopsis On The Book of Esther

The Book of Esther is an Amazing Book, explaining how Esther , formerly called "Hadassah" became The Queen of The Land of Persia "for such a time as this." King Ahashuerus, also known as Artaxerxes, was King over the land of Persia known today as Iran. When Vashti was The Queen for Artaxerxes, each year the King threw a Banquet, and she was to dance before The King and all the men he invited to the Banquet. In those days, women were not  to be Independent, they bowed to their husbands and they served their husbands.  Vashti was a smart lady, she  did not want to dance in front of a bunch of drunken men; so she had a banquet for The women in the Kingdom. Having a banquet for the women in the Kingdom was unheard of in those days.  The King Ahashuerus demanded for Vashti to come and dance for the men and she basically said:" I will NOT Dance before the men." After the Banquet, The King was very angry and he demanded Vashti no more be queen.

King  Ahashuerus sent out (all over the whole land of  Persia/Iran and all the Provinces he reigned over which included as far as Ethiopia and India) messages for women to come and "try out" to be queen! It was the fact that the King said:" You guys in my Kingdom, go out and get the Bestlooking women in this country and all these Provinces and this country and bring to me the most BEAUTIFUL women  so I can pick someone to be queen."

What if our President said :" I need to send out for a new first lady!!!! " Then he sends out a decree for every single lady to come and try out to be first lady, so he sends out the secret service  all over the United States  and The Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico and all the other Islands we own.

The Bible says "Mordecai The Jew" worked at the palace of the King and  he raised Esther, whose parents had passed away when she was young.  Uncle Mordecai raised Hadassah ( Esther's Hebrew name), so he gave Esther her name of Esther which means "Star", in English.  Esther went to the palace and she was so pretty, that one of the guys who worked at the palace became her friend and while she received her beauty treatments .  All the other ladies received these same treatments.

Esther was well loved and became queen. At night, King Ahashuerus had  a hard time sleeping, so Esther would go in to him and read to The King The Chronicles. The King loved Esther very much! Haman was the King's  Secretary of State , of you will, and he was a modern day Adolph Hitler. Everytime Haman would just simply walk by Mordecai, he would be OUTRAGED becaused Mordecai would'nt bow down to Haman as he showed up for work everyday. This OUTRAGED Haman! Haman hated Mordecai so much that he convinced the King that the Jews were his enemy, and he convinced the King to have them all killed all the way from Persia to Ethiopia and India!  Is that not The Devil!!! When Mordecai found this out, he told Esther and told her she needed to do something about this.

The King's decree for the murder of the Jews was faxed an sent out all over these countries. When Mordecai found this out  of course he told Esther, and Esther took it upon herself to risk her own life to save the lives of her people, and she went before the King and told him that someone was trying to uproot his Kingdom.

Esther held a banquet for The King and Haman and in between times, Haman was so filled with the Devil, he went home and told his wife Zeresh about how much he hated Moredcai the Jew, and The Lie about the Jews, so her response was:" Well darling, just build a gallows 50 feet high and hnve Mordecai The Jew hung on it, then you're problem is solved."

At the Banquet, Haman was happy, and the banquet lasted for several days, and on the last day. Esther told the King in front of Haman that all Haman did in issuing a decree was all wrong, and he issued to kill her people! Then she ended it with those famous words:"If I perish! I perish!"

Guess who perished!!!! Haman!!! God had his say!!!! That gallows that was made for Mordecai, ended up having Haman and his whole family put on it. Then, the Jews in the whole country of Persia/Iran and all the 127 provinces lives were saved.

God saves His people! We praise Him for how He watches over us!
